Sedentary Kids

What foods should they eat? What vitamins should they take? Did they get enough sleep?
As a parent, there are million things to worry about with your child.
They are all important, but maybe if we decrease the amount of time that they are sedentary, we can lessen some of the other worries!

http://www.cnn.com/2006/HEALTH/diet.fitness/06/20/hb.kids.gym/index.html

This article recommends 10 minutes of physical activity after every 60-90 minutes, depending on the age of your child. I am not an expert, but I believe that if we are able to focus on more physical activity it is almost guaranteed that your child will.....
-develop healthy sleep patterns because they will be tired at bedtime.
-be more likey to choose better food choices because they will need "real" energy to fuel their play and most likely be aware of how food makes them feel.
-develop more social skills while playing with others.
-have less medical issues.
-develop a more creative and active minds through play.
-be able to focus more on the task at hand when they are expected to sit down and be still.
-have healthy bodies and minds!

It does not matter what they are playing, it can be very simple,as long as they are up and active!
